Book Review

Born in Madras India, the son of Sir Charles Augustus Moran, CB, Ambassador to Iraq/Persia, John Sebastian Moran was educated at Eton College and the University of Oxford before embarking upon a military career. Retired Colonel in her Majesty's First Bangalore Fusiliers, Moran is outwardly respectable, with an address at 26 Conduit Street, Mayfair. He has memberships with the Anglo-Indian Club, the Tankerville Club, and The Bagatelle Card Club.

Moran is the author of Heavy Game of the Western Himalayas and Three Months in the Jungle and it is believed that he is also the anonymous author of My Nine Nights in a Harem, the majority of copies destroyed by order of the court. After Moriarty's death, he was credited with writing The Moriarty Papers - The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes's Great Nemesis which claims to give an insight into many of Professor Moriarty's plots and schemes.

After the death of Professor Moriarty, Moran supposedly founded T.H.R.U.S.H. (Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity). In the player's mind, removal of humanity's undesirables isn't Jack's goal, rather humanity as a whole is undesirable. They are crowding out Jack's favourite activity, big game hunting/photography (depending on the era he is played in).

Physical Description: His body carried the scars of Kali's kitten, the scrapes of her teeth on his chest, the missing nipple making him lopsided, the clear signs of hind claws that had curled up to disembowel him, and had nearly succeeded. In addition, her fore-claws had dragged over his shoulders hugging him. Under those scars were the lines of a cane and whip that his supposed father had laid into his flesh early on until Jack turned on him and temporarily gained his freedom and the first place he was truly happy. Most recent injuries were bruises, cuts, and scrapes on top of it all. His whole life's story from knife fights to fist fights, pistol shots and everything in between was carved into his flesh. This is why Jack was unafraid, despite his internal commentary which was more to amuse himself than anyone else. He had already survived nearly everything, bullets, bombs, his criminally political family, neglect and abuse, they were the anvil on which he had been forged.
